Ravens Wood School Proudly Celebrates the Success of Their Sixth Form Students
Ravens Wood School is proud to announce another outstanding year of post-16 results, reflecting the hard work, ambition, and talent of its students and staff. This summer, over 230 students achieved close to 700 grades, with 14% of all A Level grades at A–A*, 43% at A–B*, and an impressive 97% overall pass rate.
Subject Highlights – A Level
- A*–C: English Literature & Language (89%), Media Studies (85%), Economics (84%), Film Studies (83%), Geography (82%), Sociology (79%), Psychology (74%), Design Technology (70%).
- A*–B: French (67%), Further Mathematics (71%), PE (62%), History (59%).
- A*–A: German (50%), Fine Art (33%), Photography (33%), Mathematics (29%)
Beyond the headline statistics, these results reflect the exceptional breadth and balance of Ravens Wood’s Sixth Form curriculum. Students achieved at the highest levels in both academic and vocational pathways — from rigorous STEM and humanities courses to creative and performing arts, languages, and applied qualifications. This diversity of success underlines the school’s commitment to nurturing talent across all disciplines, ensuring that every student can excel in their chosen field and take confident next steps into university, apprenticeships, or the workplace.
BTEC Excellence
BTEC students also excelled, with one-third of all grades at Distinction*- Distinction, over 80% at Merit or above, and a 100% pass rate for another consecutive year. Notable successes included outstanding performances in BTEC Media (40% Distinction*- Distinction), BTEC Sport (84% Distinction*- Merit), and BTEC Business (82% Merit or higher), reflecting the strength of Ravens Wood’s broad curriculum and commitment to excellence across both academic and vocational pathways.
