Ravens Wood School celebrates success
Ravens Wood School is again celebrating a fantastic set of A level and BTEC results for 2024 with over 220 students receiving over 560 grades. 17% of grades at A level were A*-A, 42% were graded as A*-B, 73% A*-C and the School’s overall A level pass rate was an impressive 99%. Just under a third of all BTEC grades were Distinction* or Distinction and the BTEC pass rate was 100%. We are incredibly proud of all our students; their results demonstrate their hard work and desire to succeed.
We are delighted that all subject areas supported our students to obtain impressive outcomes. Our Mathematics department continued its strong track record with 37% of students achieving A*-A and 83% of Further Mathematics students gaining A*-A. 62.5% of Physics students achieved A*-B, 50% of Sociology and 50% of English Language and Literature students achieved A*-B and 52 % of History students achieved A*-B.
Our pleasing results in results Biology (71% A*-C), Business (79% A*-C), Film Studies (81% A*-C), Geography (85% A*-C), Media (81% A*-C), Religious Studies (77% A*-C) and PE (94% A*-C) show that our broad curriculum continues to support students across the school. This includes students who studied BTECs, with three students gaining Distinction * in Sport, 13 students getting Distinction* -Distinction in Business and 79% of Media students gaining Distinction* - Merit

Once again, Ravens Wood students are now accepting prestigious places at some of the top universities in the country, as well as some of the highest quality apprenticeships. Ravens Wood’s Headteacher, Melanie Lester has congratulated all students: “As a community, we are incredibly proud of all of our Sixth Form students.
