A Level Results 2023

The Ravens Wood School community celebrates success!

Ravens Wood School is celebrating a fantastic set of A Level and BTEC results for 2023. With over 200 students receiving over 640 qualifications. Of these, 14% were awarded A*-A, 43% graded as A*-B, and 71% A*-C. The School’s overall pass rate was an impressive 98% at A Level (A*-E) and 99% at BTEC. We are incredibly proud of all of our students; they have once again continued Ravens Wood’s fine tradition of securing excellent outcomes that will support them in their future endeavours.

Ravens Wood students continue to benefit from a comprehensive Sixth Form offer; in 2023, students have particularly excelled in Further Maths (50% A*-A), Physics (32% A*-A), and Maths (25% A*-A).

We are also pleased with results in a broad range of subjects with History (59% A*-B), Economics (56% A*-B), English Literature (56% A*-B), Biology (56% A*-B) and Geography (50% A*-B) all achieving highly impressive results.

Our results in Photography (100% A*-C), German (100% A*-C), Drama (89% A*-C) and Music 75% A*-C, demonstrate why we place an importance in continuing to offer creative subjects and languages at A Level at Ravens Wood School.

We are extremely proud of our BTEC students who have excelled in BTEC Media (42% Distinction* - Distinction, 96% Distinction*- Merit), alongside strong performances in both BTEC Sport (86% Distinction*-Merit) and BTEC Business (75% Distinction*-Merit).

Once again, Ravens Wood students are now accepting prestigious places at some of the top universities in the country, as well as some of the highest quality apprenticeships. Ravens Wood’s Headteacher, Melanie Lester has congratulated all students: “As a community, we are incredibly proud of all of our Sixth Form students. They have worked extremely hard and overcome the challenges they have faced to secure fantastic results, providing them with a great platform for future success.
